Overton Safety Training is the successor organization to Overton Safety Engineering,
which together have been certifying equipment operators and riggers
in the Pacific Northwest since 1991.
We hold open-enrollment Basic Rigger & Rigger Train-the-Trainer Classes on a regular schedule
in cities throughout the Pacific Northwest (see below).
Or, with a small minimum number of students, we can schedule a class at your location.
Do you know the critical components of a safe crane lift? Correct rigging is essential to make the lift safe.
Understanding how to calculate load weights, sling angles, and knowing about wire rope are all critical for the rigger.
If you do not know the proper rigging techniques, your load could be improperly attached, and the rigging could fail.
Learn the rejection criteria for wire rope and synthetic slings, how to rig a stable load,
and how to select the proper slings and hardware.
When you complete this eight hour course, you will receive a "Basic Rigging" card.
These courses include extensive, illustrated reference manuals.
Each class includes required instruction, student manual, exam, and ID card.
