Job Description, Level 1 Instructor

  • Provides Instruction, training and operational performance evaluations for our clients via Train the Trainer Webinars, scheduled open enrollment courses as well as on-site client specific onsite courses to assist employers and operators in satisfying both their safety training needs as well as State/Federal regulatory compliance.
  • Utilizing technical and professional expertise, confident instructing and facilitation skills they will exceed client expectations.
  • By providing our End User and Train the Trainer safety training programs either thru open enrollment, onsite training or Train the Trainer Webinars in a professional manner, the instructor has the opportunity to positively affect client relationships and ensure the services provided exceed the customer expectations.
  • Level 1 Instructors provide our industry leading safety training services to the small equipment hoisting and lifting professionals on small hoisting equipment including but not limited to: Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts, pallet jacks, order selectors and telehandlers), Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (boom lifts, scissor lifts and bucket trucks), Loaders (skid steer, front end and log loaders), Rigging/Signaling for Cranes, Confined Space, Fall Protection and Overhead Cranes.
  • Level 1 Instructors classes are scheduled and booked by our home office staff, training services are generally within their geographic territory, however OVERTON Safety Training offers training services at client locations on a statewide and regional level, so the instructor will be able to occasionally travel to support customers training needs utilizing their professional training skills and our industry leading training programs and materials.
  • Our full time instructors enjoy being home-based as well as traveling, and are provided with our company internal instructor training program, a company vehicle, insurance, smartphone, laptop and all training materials necessary to provide the services requested.
  • Level 1 instructors may receive additional internal training and become qualified to be promoted to level 2 as applicable.

Job Description, Level 2 Instructor

  • Same as Level 1  PLUS
  • Provides our training programs in additional Hoisting Equipment categories to teach include Mobile Crane, Boom Trucks, Carry Deck Cranes, Articulating Cranes,
  • Level 2 Instructors classes are generally within their geographic territory, however OVERTON Safety Training offers training services at client locations on a statewide, regional and sometimes national level, so the instructor will be able to occasionally travel to support customers training needs utilizing their professional training skills and our industry leading training programs and materials.
  • Ability to achieve NCCCO Nationally Certification as a Practical Examiner in any/all of the applicable Crane, Rigging or Signaling National Certification Classifications.
  • Level 2 instructors may receive additional internal training and NCCCO National Certification (paid by company) and become qualified to be promoted to level 3 as applicable.

Job Description, Level 3 Instructor

  • Same as Level 2  PLUS
  • Current possession of NCCCO Nationally Certification as a Crane Operator and Practical Examiner in any/all of the applicable Crane, Rigging or Signaling National Certification Classifications.
  • Provides our preparatory training programs and applicable NCCCO National Certification Exams on any/all of the applicable Crane, Rigging or Signaling National Certification Classifications.
  • Level 3 Instructors classes are generally within their geographic territory, however OVERTON Safety Training offers NCCCO training services at client locations on a national level, so the instructor will be able to travel to support customers training needs utilizing their professional training skills and our industry leading training programs and materials.
  • Level 3 instructors may receive additional internal training and qualify for additional NCCCO National Certifications (paid by company) to provide preparatory training and exams on additional classifications.

Qualifications/Requirements
A qualified applicant will possess:

  • Desire to make employment with us a career decision.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable. Must meet OVERTON Safety Training safe driver standards.  Pass a background check for TSA and Military Base clearance.
  • Pass a background check for TSA and Military Base clearance and be able to travel/fly in the United States.
  • Experience
    • Level 1: 3+ years general industry, construction or military applicable hosting equipment operation/training experience. 3+ years previous experience in training, instructing and evaluating end users.
    • Level 2: 5+ years general industry, construction or military applicable hosting equipment operation/training experience. 5+ years previous experience in training, instructing and evaluating end users.
    • Level 3: 7+ years general industry, construction or military applicable hosting equipment operation/training experience. 7+ years previous experience in training, instructing and evaluating end users.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Physically able to provide the required training services.
  • Pleasing social demeanor, ability to represent our company professionally at all times
  • Effective communication, teaching and facilitation skills.
  • Ability and desire to instill customer satisfaction that is recognizable and valuable to the customer.
  • Bilingual, second language ability (Spanish) a plus, but not required.

    5. Assist in assuring any and all special product requirements have been met.
    6. Daily job functions include but not limited to: Receiving, Loading , Unloading, Stretch Wrapping, Put Product Away, Order Selecting, Scanning, Palletizing, Invoicing, Labeling, and Rebox Product
    7. Stocks items in freezers and coolers.
    8. Assure proper rotation of product.
    9. Assure all returns are processed in a timely manner.
    10. Assist with inventory procedures.
    11. Responsible for general cleaning of warehouse, coolers, and freezer.
    12. Assure all powered equipment inspection forms are completed daily, and notify management of potential safety issues.
    13. Assist in investigating inventory discrepancies.
    14. Assure that all safety and GMP rules are adhered to.

9 - Bend Roof Truss is looking for CDL Boom/Crane Drivers

Location: Job is located in beautiful Bend, OR.

Looking for: Drives delivery vehicle to customer site that requires the operation of a crane or boom to load or unload material. Driver will operate an articulating boom truck or straight truck which requires a Class B CDL, or a stick crane attached to a road tractor which requires a Class A CDL.

  • Assists customers with unloading material safely and accurately, taking precautions to protect product and customer property.
  • Calculates boom/crane capacities and weights and checks clearances so that buildings, hydro wires and machine will not be damaged. Ensures load is not over weight limits and adheres to DOT regulations.
  • Verifies order details and maintain log of deliveries, including amounts and/or weights, mileage and locations of deliveries. Check items against invoice to ensure accuracy of order.
  • Acts as customer service liaison. Handles customer concerns and helps to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintains service logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures.

Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 21+ years of age, a valid Class A or B CDL license, and a boom/crane operator license. Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of driving experience and prior boom/crane experience. Must be able to pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card. Forklift certification preferred.
